In a comprehensive memorandum of
understanding, the Pasadena City Col-
lege Alumni Association and the PCC
Foundation have agreed to merge their
mutual forces in the interest of furthering
community and alumni support of the
college.
The memorandum was approved in
December 1987 by the respective boards
of directors and covers the new arrange-
men! pertaining to funds, administration,
staff, activities, reporting and compensation. It was signed by Alumni Associa-
tion President Jess Hughston and Foundation President Janet Rose.
The agreement to consolidate efforts
and "pull together" marks a great step
forward for both organizations in achieving the objectives and goals of:
•
promoting the interests of Pasadena
City College
• establishing and maintaining the beneficial relationship between alumni and
the college
• establishing and providing scholarships
• sponsoring events of interest to
alumni, faculty, staff and friends of the
college.
There has been an Alumni Association
since the first graduating class in 1926 of
what was then called Pasadena Junior
College. Actual incorporation of the association 14 years ago established it as a
non-profit organization.
Throughout PCC's history, alumni
have been a part of the college's many
accomplishments. Alumni have contributed their support to many campus activities and have participated in the col-
lege's ever-expanding academic

Blowers is now alumni executive assistant.
